Delete my data

Last updated: 2026-09-01. This page explains how to delete your Smolder account and the data associated with it.

Delete in the app

If you still have Smolder installed, delete your account there. It finishes in the app — no email or support ticket required.

  1. Open Smolder and sign in with Apple if you are not already signed in.
  2. Go to You → Delete account (also under Settings → Account).
  3. Read what will be removed, then tap Delete account and confirm.

That permanently deletes your Sign in with Apple / cloud account and associated server-side data. You will see a confirmation on the same screen when it is done.

If you already deleted the app

Use the form on our Support page and choose "Delete my data." Write from the Apple ID you used with Couple Link so we can confirm it is your account. We aim to complete those requests within 30 days.

What we delete

After deletion, GT Labs removes your Sign in with Apple / cloud account and associated server-side data, including:

  • Couple Link membership and couple profile
  • Shared Dual, Soft Spots, and Love Notes synced between linked accounts
  • Whisper messages and media stored for your couple
  • Device push tokens registered for notifications

Most play content (custom prompts, Memories photos, nearby Whisper history, local game history) never leaves your device. Deleting the app removes that data from the phone.

What else you can do in the app

  • Reset Couple Link — You → Settings → Reset Couple Link. This unlinks the couple on this phone so you can create or join a fresh invite. It does not delete your Sign in with Apple account.
  • Reset settings — You → Settings → Reset everything clears names, favorites, and custom prompts on this device.
  • Delete the app — uninstalling Smolder wipes on-device data such as custom prompts, Memories, nearby chat, and local game history.

What we cannot erase

  • App Store purchases and subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. We cannot refund or delete Apple's transaction records.
  • Sign in with Apple itself is controlled by Apple. After we delete your Smolder account, you can also revoke access in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.

Partner impact

Deleting a linked account unlinks the couple. Your partner's own Apple ID, on-device data, and cloud account are not deleted unless they delete their account too. Shared Whisper history and couple-synced content associated with the pair will no longer be available to either of you once the couple is dissolved.
